Near North colleagues and clients shared the spirit of spring holidays in early April in shelter-in-place mode, which most celebrating without extended families. Our thoughts continue to be with you and your families as you hold traditions without the physical presence of your loved ones.
Although we must focus inward physically, we at Near North encourage our community to focus outward wherever possible. This past week our charitable foundation NNTGiving sponsored a “Food it Forward” initiative to infuse much needed revenue into our local small business community while honoring healthcare workers and first responders.
NNTGiving contributed matches to gift cards purchased by employees, which we distributed as a company to healthcare workers on the front lines. Through this initiative we show our gratitude to healthcare workers who risk their lives on the front lines of the COVID-19 epidemic while helping to support local businesses who can count on those dollars as they struggle to stay afloat.
As an essential business we remain in full operation as we navigate these difficult times and have been fortunate to maintain our employment levels as we serve the real estate community. We are trying to find things to have gratitude for and we hope that all of you can do so as well, as your families and industries suffer from isolation and business interruption. Please join us in finding subjects you have gratitude for in any way that you can.
We are still here getting our closings done and are on the forefront of Remote Online Notarization technology, poised to utilize RON as soon as regulators can establish a process and lenders approve it. We appreciate your support of our business and wish you a peaceful and happy holiday season whether you are celebrating Easter, Passover, Ramadan or anything else.
